The R Roundup: Bitcoin ETF Week — Issue #94
After months of regulatory pressure straining the markets, several Bitcoin ETF submissions and approvals from the SEC have led to a $31,000 Bitcoin.
Despite the SEC waging war on exchanges, they have recently played bulls by approving its first leveraged Bitcoin futures ETF. Volatility Shares will be the issuers of the ETF available in the US beginning trading on Tuesday.
Last week we saw BlackRock outline the details for a Bitcoin Spot ETF and since we have seen Valkyrie, Invesco & WisdomTree all file for approval of their spot ETF.
The 2x Bitcoin Futures ETF is set to launch on June 26th.
Solana NFT Activity On The Rising Sun🌞
As Solana has worked towards fixing their network issues, the return of its NFT activity, which had taken a dip, has begun to recoup.
Messari cites that the doubling in NFT transactions over the past month is accredited to the heightened activity with consumer apps.
While Ethereum & Polygon have advanced NFT marketplaces & collections, Solana has still surpassed both in NFT transaction volume.
Andrew Tate Has 21 $BTC Seized 🇷🇴
Never did we think Andrew Tate would make an RR headline but when a high-profile individual gets $BTC seized, our ears crop up.
Following his charges, Romanian prosecutors filed a seize worth $565,000 which is an estimated 21 $BTC.
Tate, who is known to have praised the crypto sector, will most likely have his Bitcoin remaining with the authorities until the trial is concluded.
In response, Tristan Tate, Andrew's brother, tweeted the following:
Mastercard Dives Into Blockchain Applications With Trademark Applications💳
Mastercard is known as one of the world's leading firms which have taken a dive into the crypto sector but that is about to take one step further.
Reports broke last week that Mastercard submitted a trademark application for several crypto and blockchain tools. A patent attorney cited that these applications are aligned with the plans to create a software that facilitates transactions with crypto and blockchain technology.
Other rumors include the interconnection of virtual asset service providers for crypto transactions. The software is set to be a downloadable API.
